Duties and responsibilities
  • Leadership of day-to-day operations
  • Leadership, support, coaching and training of staff
  • Maintain operational controls, policies and guidelines, business rules and credit process whilst reducing risk
  • Monitoring portfolio performance in line with guidelines and identifying areas of risk
  • Ensuring customers situations are captured, and Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act (CCFA) requirements are met
  • Undertaking proactive analysis, interpretation of portfolio data and processes and providing feedback and opportunities for improvements
  • Handling customer escalations that arise and providing solutions
  • Handling complaints with daily oversight throughout the process ensuring time frames are met
  • Keep Collections Manager informed on operational matters, customer issues in a timely manner
  • You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties reasonably requested by your manager

Experience needed
  • Strong leadership ability with a focus on coaching and staff development
  • 2 years experience as a Team Leader in collections
  • A background in credit is essential, and an understanding of consumer credit and associated legislation
