Joining this family owned Australian business, one of the market leaders in the logistics industry, your primary focus will be to receive and document the handover from the exiting financial controller with a strong focus on the weekly report for the executive management. In this transition period and for a period of 5 to 6 weeks, you will then be expected to deliver the weekly report, you will take part of managerial meetings and partner with state managers when required. You will finally pass on the documented handover to the incoming Finance Manager and ensure all aspects of the weekly report are covered and passed on accurately.
You will closely collaborate with the CFO, an amazing leader with incredible experience and knowledge, she will challenge you, she will support you and she will mentor you while expecting only the best from you. She is open to new ideas on how to improve processes and you will be able to have a direct impact on the business.
To be successful for this position, you will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Strong experience in financial accounting, the reporting aspect will be essential
- Strong Excel skills: pivot tables and v-lookups essential
- A can do and proactive attitude as you will be expected to take ownership of the role
- Strong communication skills
- TM1 experience would be ideal but not essential
