The company
A small family owned company providing products and solutions for the construction and safety industry. Located close to the Kingsgrove train station the company is based in Kingsgrove and has on-site car parking available.

The role

Immediate start four month full time contract, we require an experienced Procurement Officer with construction industry experience. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be responsible for assisting with all purchasing requirements.

  • Creation or purchase order using pronto on a daily basis
  • Support in the preparation of tenders, contracts and documentation
  • Engage in supplier development and negotiation
  • Ensure that internal and external customer delivery deadlines are met
  • manage purchase order confirmations, in transit records and preparing paperwork for good receiving
  • keep all internal stakeholders updated with the progress of all outstanding orders
  • Pro-actively manage delivery delays or stock accuracy issues
  • Purchase order administration and cost control

The candidate

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in procurement or purchasing officer role
  • Experience within a construction or engineering company
  • Pronto systems knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • intermediate excel and word experience
  • Available to start immediately
