Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for the development and management of procurement and inventory strategy. You will work across business functions to plan inventory by ways of rationalising and maximising availability.
You will need to be able to;- Constantly analyse the Australian inventory supply chain performance against budgeted targets- Identify the key influences and strive for continuous improvement- Leading and developing the purchasing and Inventory planning team within Australia and BPO partner. Set strategy and direction for managing demand forecasting, inventory planning and stocking/inventory deployment within the region.- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with agreed, documented procedures and identified best practice. Driving efficiency whilst meeting SLA's and maintaining appropriate agreed levels to meet customer expectations.
First and foremost, you need to be a strong leader and be able to develop key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and really be able to get the most out of your team.
You will also need to have a proven track record of working within high SKU, quick turn around environments. A strong knowledge of SAP and SAP APO (Advanced Planning Optimisation) is essential.
