With a reputable brand name and a well established client base, they are now looking to move into the next phase of their development and need the help of an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their team,

The Role

Reporting to a hands off manager, you will have autonomy and lead a team of 3 officers to manage the payroll of around 1000 employees nationally. Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Ensure the payroll (weekly and monthly) is done accurately and within deadlines. 
  • Monitor the payroll process in compliance with the various EBAs in place
  • Prepare and control payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation and deductions
  • Be on top of workers compensation
  • Ownership of Month-end and year-end processes
  • Training, coaching and developping the staff members
  • Be the escalation point for all payroll queries

The ideal candidate

In order to be sucessful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
  • Experience as a Payroll Manager
  • Experience managing a team
  • SAP payroll experience essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with multiple EBAs
