A newly created role is available based in Wollongong, NSW to manage the efficient and effective implementation and delivery of claims related to mental health. We need your expertise to provide guidance to front line staff to ensure workers' and employers' needs are met holistically and empathetically. Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Initiate and monitor tasks and projects, assess and improve business processes;
- Develop and maintain working relationships with frontline staff;
- Identify, recommend, plan and deliver strategies to improve business relationships, procedures, practices and deliver initiatives;
- Encourage active engagement with internal and external stakeholders in the development and implementation of effective claims management;
- Provide debriefing and defusing support to front line staff;
- Provide clinical perspective on treatment, case management and interventions for psychological injury cases;
- Manage the resolution of complex or unusual treatment and service requests for workers with mental health problems within relevant authority limits;
- Prepare internal and external strategic, operational documents, data analysis as required and apply well-developed interpretation and analysis to complex data;
- Assist in the resolution of escalated issues relating to workers with serious injuries.
- Understands the claims in an empathetic manner;
- Has full understanding of the legislation and regulatory framework relevant to workers' insurance
- Is experienced in the management of mental health conditions in an insurance or clinical setting
- Preferably has a personal injury insurance/workers compensation background.
- Has qualifications in counselling, psychology and/or allied health background.
