We are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading global law firm with offices across five continents, who have been recently recognised as a "Global Legal Powerhouse'

With four major offices across Australia, their Melbourne office is the largest in the Asia Pacific region located in the heart of the CBD.


THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion within the team, this industry-leading law firm is seeking an outgoing and proactive Legal Secretary to join them in a true 1:1 position in their innovative and cutting-edge Intellectual Property team. 

Supporting a Partner who specialises in the registration of intellectual property rights and associated litigation, this role is ideal for a Legal Secretary who would like to move into that space.


Your duties will include (but are not limited to);
 
  • Diary management
  • High level administrative and secretarial support to Partner
  • Managing confidential Firm information and opening new matters
  • Administrative duties relating to intellectual property, copyright and trademark matters
  • Input and maintain client data into client relationship software
  • Handling high profile client queries
  • Managing the monthly billing process

THE CANDIDATE

The successful Legal Secretary must have proven legal support experience in a reputable law firm and be familiar with billing. Exposure within IP is advantageous, but not essential.


The team within the Intellectual Property practice is outgoing and sociable so someone who is confident and easy-going will suit the team well.
