An opportunity for a talented and bright Legal Assistant in this practice's Melbourne office has arisen. This is a Legal Assistant opportunity within their Litigation practice supporting a Partner who has previously been rewarded Lawyer of the Year in International Arbitration.

There will also be support to a Senior Associate and 2 Graduate Lawyers. The team specialise in international commercial arbitration and commercial litigation, with a focus on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

You will be supporting a team with matters involving telecommunications, resources and mining, infrastructure, consumer products, pharmaceuticals and real property.


To be considered for this Legal Assistant position, you must have:
  • Proven litigation experience and confidence supporting up to Partner level
  • Advanced knowledge of Word to produce high quality documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook to organise and manage contacts, email, diary activity, fee earner availability, court/settlement dates, follow-up of outstanding items from fee earners, clients/other parties so that deadlines aren't overlooked
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS or other finance related software to manage expenses, matters, timesheets, client billing and reporting requirements
