This ever-evolving government department is looking for a versatile candidate with a strong mix of both financial accounting and systems accounting experience that can contribute over the next 6 months to a variety of upcoming finance projects.
As the business looks to deploy a new time and attendance system, they require someone to assist in collecting employee and contractor data and correlate it with project owners / Business Units / Cost Centres / Managers etc. This first step will be to build an interim database as a single source of truth that can eventually be loaded into the selected T&A platform. This process will require data reconciliations with P&L entries as well as providing some project accounting support, including moth end accruals and reporting.
CA or CPA qualified you will impress with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate financial information to all levels. This role will require strong attention to detail, reconciliations experience, advanced Excel skills and commitment to fulfill the initial six month period. Previous experience in systems accounting highly desirable given the nature of the assignment and advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data is essential.
