An international law firm based in the heart of the CBD is seeking an Executive Assistant to support a Partner and a couple of lawyers within their Insurance Litigation practice group. The successful candidate will be joining the team during an exciting period of growth.
This is an opportunity to be part of a well-known international law firm who are currently a boutique practice in Melbourne but are rapidly growing. You will, therefore, be an integral member of this team in this chapter and going forwards.
As an Executive Assistant, you will report to the Head of Insurance and be working for a small team of Lawyers.
Your main duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Typing, drafting and amending of documents;
- Diary management, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel;
- Attending to client and matter queries;
- Monthly billing;
- Maintaining filing systems;
- Drafting of Court documents and e-filing;
- Business development activities in the firm's client management system;
- Mentoring other secretaries in the office; and
- Coordinating and planning of events.
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Legal Secretary or Executive Assistant in litigation for a fellow reputable law firm; exposure to insurance litigation is a benefit, but not a mandatory requirement. You will also have extensive skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have a typing speed of at least 60 WPM.
On a personal level, you will be polished, professional and able to work collaboratively in a team environment. It is imperative that you are able to multi-task and have excellent communication skills.
