Locally owned wholesaler of fruits and vegetables to other businesses (local fruit and veggies stores, convenience stores...), this organisation is located in the Flemington markets area. Led by a very competent and supportive manager, the finance team operates as a close-knit unit where people get along well and help each other get things done. Due to a resignation of a long-standing member, they are looking to add an experienced bookkeeper to their team.
The Opportunity
Starting as soon as possible, this is a permanent opportunity to join this friendly team. The early starts at 5am will allow you to beat the traffic and be back at home to enjoy your afternoons (usual shifts are 5am - 1pm with occasional earlier or later finishes). Free parking will be provided onsite for your convenience. On offer is a salary of $60,000 + super.
The Role
You will be responsible for the following: - Daily entry of sales orders into Quickbooks - Client invoicing - Stock control - Process suppliers payments - Daily reporting (sales, cash flow...) - Reconciliations (suppliers statements, bank, ...) - Assist the CFO with month-end reports - Daily face to face or phone client dealings
The Ideal Candidate
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following attributes: - Be an experienced bookkeeper - Have experience using Quickbooks - Be available to start at 5am - Be comfortable working in a market environment - Have excellent communication skills to deal with clients - Strong Excel skills
