The Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA), in partnership with Cricket Australia and State organisations nationally, is offering eight ten-week paid sport administration internships for ACA members looking to develop their careers. The internships have been made possible through funds donated by the current players and through partnerships with state associations and BBL / WBBL clubs. The Program is a terrific example of how current players are funding initiatives to benefit fellow members and strengthen the game.
In its fifth year, the 2019 program offers a wide variety of diverse opportunities. ACA has engaged long-term careers partner Infront Sports Consulting (via people2people) to manage the application process. For the 2019 Program, the ACA is offering the following opportunity:
Australian Cricketers' Association: Player Development Manager Youth
In 2019, for the first time, the Australian Cricketers' Association is offering an internship in the Player Development Management area. This is a state-based role for the successful candidate and will focus on the Personal Development, Health and Wellbeing, and Career Education of male players at underage representative level. The role reports to the ACA's GM - High Performance and National Manager - Professional Development and Wellbeing and requires an ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to assist professional athletes to fulfil their professional development plans.
The ACA Internship Program is open to ACA Members - male and female, current and former players.
